NEWS REPORT: The 2015/16 Match of the Week series will conclude on court of defending champions in Barcelona on Saturday.
Palau Blaugrana to host the season’s last MOTW
The same two teams, but a different location. For the second straight week the Match of the Week series will cover the fight between FC Barcelona Lassa and THW Kiel as the two most heralded teams of the EHF Champions League history meet in the second quarter-final leg on Saturday 30 April at 18:30 hrs.
The three-time winners Kiel defeated the defending champions and eight-time trophy holders 29:24 in the first leg last Sunday and created a promising position before the return leg.
Barcelona will once again rely on the “magic” of their arena Palau Blaugrana, which saw them successfully reaching the VELUX EHF FINAL4 after they rallied from a five-goal hole against Atletico Madrid in 2013 or even climbing back from a seven-goal deficit one year later in the quarter-finals against Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
"How many goals is enough travelling to the Palau? History shows us that five might not be enough. It's a dangerous lead for Kiel.
"How can Gislason convince his team to think it's 0:0? The magic of the Palau has done it before. The burning question is whether there is one more big game in Barcelona this season,” asks ehfTV commentator Tom O’Brannagain, who will guide all viewers on the world’s biggest handball online platform through the match again.
