Bids to organise Men’s and Women’s EHF European Championships in 2018 and 2020 confirmed by EHF Executive Committeee at meeting in Belgrade
EHF EURO bidding nations confirmed
The EHF has announced the bids for the 2018 and 2020 men’s and women’s EHF EURO events that have been confirmed by the federation to go forward to the next stage.
The bidding process began in the summer of 2013 with a total of seven intentions of interest received in September 2013 by national federations.
Now the next step in the process has begun and the EHF has received bidding documents from six nations around Europe:
The EHF Executive Committee agreed to the bids at its meeting in Belgrade, Serbia on 14 December 2013 on the fringes of the Women’s World Championship.

The received documents from the various bidding nations will be analysed by the EHF with the EHF Executive Committee to approve the bids at its next meeting in Denmark during the Men’s EHF EURO.
Site inspections and bid evaluations will take place in early 2014 before the final confirmation of the bids to be taken forward to the EHF Congress in Dublin, Ireland will be made by the EHF Executive in June 2014.
A decision on just which nations will organise the EHF’s flagship national team events in 2018 and 2020 will be reached on 20 September 2014 in Ireland.
