DAY REVIEW: Home wins for Veszprém, Magdeburg, and Barça close out round 2 of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League
 

Round 2 of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League 2024/25 ended Thursday evening with title holders Barça surviving an impressive comeback by OTP Bank - Pick Szeged. After a 20:12 half-time lead, the Spanish champions had to settle for a narrow 31:30 home win. Elsewhere, SC Magdeburg downed Kolstad Håndbold 33:25 following a dominant performance. 

Earlier Thursday, Veszprém HC took a stunning 41:28 victory over Paris Saint-Germain Handball – the biggest winning margin in any of the 17 duels the two powerhouses have played against each other. In the other early game, Sporting CP steamrolled Fredericia Håndbold in Denmark: 37:19, the biggest ever win in Europe's top flight for the Portuguese club.
