They took the title for the first time in convincing style in Gothenburg on Friday evening by beating Hungary 29:17 (13:8) in the final of the tournament's 10th edition. Croatia finished third after narrowly defeating defending champions Switzerland 24:23 (11:10) in the 3/4 placement match.
