The race to the Women's EHF EURO 2026 is officially on, with the qualifiers having opened on Wednesday night and round 1 concluded with six games on Thursday. The 24 teams in the qualifiers are in the race for 16 places at the final tournament hosted by Poland, Romania, Czechia, Slovakia and Türkiye. 

Already qualified for the EHF EURO 2026 are the three medallists from the 2024 edition — Norway, Denmark and Hungary — as well as the co-hosts, completing what will be a 24-team line-up.
