Based on the ranking of teams for the EHF European League Women season 2024/25, Neptunes Nantes and three other clubs were directly qualified for the group phase of the competition with the draw for the qualification rounds 2 and 3 taking place on 16 July 2024. Due to the withdrawal of Neptunes Nantes from the EHF European League Women, adaptations in the competition’s playing system were necessary.

After receiving the information on the withdrawal of Neptunes Nantes, the European Handball Federation (EHF) evaluated the situation and subsequently, the EHF Executive Committee decided that the place of Neptunes Nantes in the already published competition system for season 2024/25 goes back to the EHF and is to be awarded according to the place distribution, respectfully the ranking of the nations for the EHF European League Women.

As a consequence, the newly available place in the group phase of the competition went to Hungary, the next national federation in the ranking after Denmark, Germany, France and Romania.

The team of Motherson Mosonmagyarovari KC, the best ranked Hungarian team in the EHF European League Women 2024/25 advanced from the qualification round 3 to the group phase.

The winners of the qualification round 2 match pairing between Fredrikstad Ballklubb (NOR) and GC Amicitia Zürich (SUI) will qualify directly for the group phase since their opponent in qualification round 3 would have been Motherson Mosonmagyarovari KC.
