NEWS: The success of the Danish ‘HappyLeague’ in making handball inclusive for all is the topic of the next EHF webinar
In 2017, former Danish national team player Rikke Nielsen founded LykkeLiga (HappyLeague) in Aalborg. As a mother of a child born with Down syndrome, she started a project for an inclusive handball team and a whole community for youngsters with various special needs – ranging from wheelchair users to children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
