The first-ever EHF Excellence Awards Gala took place on Monday evening, in the Marx-Halle in Vienna with hundreds of current and former stars of the game in attendance.

While the past has been celebrated, with 60 players being inducted in the newly-minted EHF Hall of Fame, the best players from the past season, both at the club and national team level, were also honoured, with the best players in each position plus the best young player of the season receiving awards.
