Co-hosts Slovenia had the perfect start to the Women's EHF EURO 2022 on Friday night, as they opened group B with a memorable 28:26 victory against Denmark.

It was a tight match throughout and Slovenia put on a great show for their supporters Zlatorog Arena as they overthrew the significant challenge that was the EHF EURO 2020 semi-finalists and 2021 World Championship bronze medallists.
