Nantes Atlantique Handball made history at the first EHF Finals Women, as they defeated Siófok in the final on Sunday after winning their semi-final against Baia Mare on Saturday. CS Minaur Baia Mare recovered from their semi-final loss to defeat Herning-Ikast and claim third place, before Nantes Atlantique enjoyed a dominant performance in the final on the way to their first European title. 

• Nantes Atlantique won the trophy and their first international title with a 36:31 result in the final vs Siófok
• Baia Mare clinched third with a 33:31 win over Herning-Ikast in the placement match
• on Saturday in the semi-finals, Siófok defeated Herning-Ikast 36:34 after extra time and Nantes reached their debut European cup final after beating Baia Mare 36:34
• Nantes back Bruna De Paula was named MVP of the EHF Finals Women
• Herning-Ikast's Helene Gigstad Fauske finished as top scorer of the season, with 61 goals
