Can Sporting write history – again?

This has already been a historic season for Sporting CP, as they became the first Portuguese team ever to reach the VELUX EHF Champions League Last 16 stage. Can they carry on and defeat Telekom Veszprém HC? 

One thing is certain, the Hungarian side are not ready to fall at this stage of the competition again.

• Since the beginning of the group phase, Sporting lost twice at home, to Silkeborg and Presov

• Last season, Veszprém were eliminated in the Last 16 by Skjern 

• The Hungarian side suffered their first defeat since November last Sunday, against domestic rivals Pick Szeged
