EHF meets with Austrian Vice Chancellor

The EHF President, Michael Wiederer, and EHF Secretary General, Martin Hausleitner, took the short trip to the Ministry for Civil Service and Sport in Vienna on Tuesday (5 March) to meet with the Austrian Vice Chancellor and Minister for Civil Service and Sport, Heinz-Christian Strache, and the section head, Philipp Trattner.

Discussions were held on the upcoming Men’s EHF EURO 2020 to be hosted by Austria, together with Sweden and Norway, the planned construction of a new multi-purpose arena in Vienna as well as the topic of state support for top athletes.

Mr Strache was presented with a soft mini-handball by the EHF President as a gift for his baby son, who was born on 1 January 2019.
