2018 finalists A.E.K. Athens face trip to Russia in Challenge Cup Quarter-finals

Last season’s Men’s Challenge Cup finalists A.E.K. Athens will face Russian club Dynamo-Victor this season's quarter-finals after the draw at the EHF Office in Vienna determined all four quarter-final pairings and also the semi-final fixtures.

The competition’s other Russian side, HC Neva SPb, face Belgian opposition in the form of HC Vise BM. Two EHF Cup regulars CSM Bucuresti of Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina’s RK Borac m:tel face each other in the last eight.

Last season’s semi-finalists AM Madeira Andebol SAD will welcome European debutants Dicken from Finland to Portugal for the first leg of the quarter-finals.

The draw for the semi-finals was also conducted by Markus Glaser, EHF Chief Sports Officer, and the results of which can be found below.

Quarter-finals:
Dynamo-Victor (RUS) vs A.E.K. Athens HC (GRE)
AM Madeira Andebol SAD (POR) vs Dicken (FIN)
HC Vise BM (BEL) vs HC Neva SPb (RUS)
CSM Bucuresti (ROU) vs RK Borac m:tel (BIH)

Semi-finals:
Winner of HC Vise BM (BEL) / HC Neva SPb (RUS) vs winner of CSM Bucuresti (ROU) / RK Borac m:tel (BIH)
Winner of AM Madeira Andebol SAD (POR) / Dicken (FIN) vs winner of Dynamo-Victor (RUS) / A.E.K. Athens HC (GRE)

The first quarter-final leg in the Men's Challenge Cup is scheduled for 23/24 March, while the second leg will follow one week later. The semi-finals will begin on 20/21 April.
