DRAW PREVIEW: The last draw event of the women's club handball in 2018 will be streamed live on the EHF social media channels
Group phase draw to be streamed live
The playing action in the women's club handball in 2018 is over but before the focus of fans will shift towards the Women's EHF EURO in France one draw event on Thursday at 11am will decide the fate of the remaining 16 teams in both the EHF Cup and the Challenge Cup.
In the European Handball Federation's headquarters in Vienna first the Last 16 pairings in the Challenge Cup will be decided before the the four groups in the EHF Cup group phase will be determined.
While the Challenge Cup draw will be a straightforward affair with eight teams from Pot 1 to be drawn against eight teams from Pot 2 and with no country protection, the EHF Cup draw will be slightly more complicated as the country protection rules out that teams from the same country can play in the same group.
And there are four countries with more than one club represented - Norway, Germany and Romania with two teams and Denmark with no fewer than four clubs. So what do fans need to know before the first ball will be opened on Thursday?
