Metz in pole position to win Group A

In both Group A and Group B, all three teams who will advance to the Women's EHF Champions League Main Round have already been determined.

However, it is not yet clear who will win Group A, with Metz having a better chance as they currently sit in first place. In the last group match against Odense, both rivals will also fight for the points to take through to the next stage.

In Group B, Rostov have already secured the top position, but playing against second-placed Brest, they can also claim some more points for the main round.

GROUP A

Buducnost (MNE) vs Larvik HK (NOR)
Saturday 17 November, 19:00hrs local time, live on ehfTV

  • Buducnost are sure to take six points with them to the main round regardless of the outcome of this match
  • Larvik can no longer reach the main round but will continue their European adventure in the Women's EHF Cup group phase in the New Year
  • Buducnost are chasing revenge for the 23:22 defeat in the two teams' first meeting this season

Metz Handball (FRA) vs Odense HC (DEN)

  • Metz will win the group if they win this match
  • Metz will take five points with them to the main round in the case of a win, four if they draw and three if they lose
  • Odense will take three points with them if they win, two in a draw, one with a defeat
  • the first match between the two teams ended in a 19:19 draw

GROUP B

Rostov-Don (RUS) vs Brest Bretagne Handball (FRA)

  • Both teams have secured  progression to the main round
  • Rostov are unbeaten and certain to finish first in the group
  • Brest have been undefeated in the last four games
  • the reverse fixture in Brest ended in a 29:29 draw

Kobenhavn Handball (DEN) vs IK Sävehof (SWE)
Sunday 18 November, 13:45hrs local time, live on ehfTV

  • Kobenhavn won the first meeting of these teams in Partille 36:22
  • the Danish side have not won in any of their last three games
  • Sävehof have no more chances of progressing
  • the Swedish champions are the only team in the whole competition without any points
