engelbert strauss unveiled as presenting partner for Men’s EHF EURO 2020 Qualifiers

German workwear manufacturer engelbert strauss has been named presenting partner of the Men’s EHF EURO 2020 Qualifiers.

The deal, brokered by Infront, the European Handball Federation’s exclusive media and marketing partner for the EHF EURO events, brings a presenting partner to the EHF EURO Qualifiers for the first time.

As part of the new agreement, engelbert strauss will continue its involvement with the final tournaments of both the men’s and women’s events. As well as presence at the Women’s EHF EURO 2018 in France in December, the brand will be an official sponsor at the Men’s EHF EURO 2020 in Sweden, Austria and Norway in January 2020 and the Women’s EHF EURO 2020 in Norway and Denmark in December 2020.

Over six rounds of qualification and in 96 matches, engelbert strauss will benefit from brand exposure on LED boards, sleeve advertising on the playing shirts of participating teams, two floor stickers in newly created positions on court as well as additional activation rights. A new composite logo will be integrated into related digital channels, print materials and media backdrops.

EHF EURO Qualifiers throw off 24 October

A total of 32 teams from across Europe will compete in the Men’s EHF EURO 2020 Qualifiers, with the first matches starting on Wednesday 24 October 2018 across Europe.

Qualification will be played in eight groups of four teams with 20 ultimately qualifying for the final tournament.

EHF EURO 2020 hosts Sweden, Austria and Norway as well EHF EURO 2018 champions, Spain, are already qualified for the final event, which will be played from 9 to 26 January 2020.

The Men’s EHF EURO 2020 is the first edition to feature 24 teams and be hosted by three nations. It also marks the first time the championship’s final weekend will be played in a football stadium - Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena, with a capacity of over 20,000.
