VELUX EHF Champions League signs BETANO as regional betting partner

The European Handball Federation’s marketing arm, EHF Marketing GmbH, has signed up a new partner ahead of the new VELUX EHF Champions League season, which throws off from September 2018.

BETANO – a brand of the market leading betting operator, Stoiximan – has been revealed as the competition’s new regional betting partner.

The cooperation, targeted towards the German market, will bring extensive TV and digital media exposure to the brand through on-court visibility (floor stickers and LED advertising) as well as integration into marketing materials and digital campaigns on the competition’s online and social media channels.

BETANO has successfully entered the German market right before the Football World Cup 2018 and sees a fast growth due to the extensive product offer and industry-leading customer service.

As part of the deal, BETANO will also become the official betting partner of the VELUX EHF FINAL4, which takes place on 1 and 2 June 2019 in Cologne’s LANXESS arena.

The new partnership with EHF Marketing GmbH has been brokered and accompanied by Sportradar, one of the world’s leading sports data and content providers, as Sportradar already has an existing wide-ranging relationship with EHF Marketing GmbH, having become the official data and streaming partner of the EHF’s club competitions in 2017. The company also provides marketing and digital media services to EHF Marketing GmbH through this agreement.

Managing Director of EHF Marketing GmbH, David Szlezak, said: "The VELUX EHF Champions League offers an attractive platform to BETANO, especially given its focus on gaining exposure on the German market where handball enjoys huge popularity."
