British and Lithuanian derbies in Challenge Cup opening round

Tuesday's Round 2 draw of the Men's Challenge Cup threw up two national derbies, including the first England vs Scotland clash in European Cup history.

London GD HC vs Livingston HC was the first pairing drawn, followed by the all-Lithuanian clash of Granitas-Karys vs VHC Sviesa Vilnius.

Last season's runners-up AEK Athens begin their campaign in Round 3, where they await the winner of Moldova's Colos SS4 Ciobruciu vs Bregenz Handball from Austria.

The draw was carried out by EHF Chief Sports Officer Markus Glaser alongside Konrad Wilczynski and Ferdinand Hager, both from Austrian EHF Cup participants West Wien.

Men’s Challenge Cup Round 2 will take place on the weekends of 6/7 and 13/14 October with the following ties:
