EHF CONGRESS 2018: German Handball Federation will organise the Men’s EHF EURO in 2024

First Men’s EHF EURO for Germany

The final awarding at the EHF Congress was for the EHF EURO 2024 with Germany winning the organisational right. This will be the first time that Germany will host the Men's EHF EURO.

Germany successfully hosted the record-breaking 2007 Men’s World Championship, the 2017 Women’s World Championship with more than 320,000 spectators and a sold-out final weekend in the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg.

Since 2010, the LANXESS arena Cologne has hosted the VELUX EHF FINAL4. And four times (2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018), German cities have organised the EHF Cup Finals. Hamburg has also been the venue for the German Cup finals for the past 20 years.

Germany 2024 will also be the first EHF EURO with 24 teams to be hosted by only one country.
