Court of Handball fines SG Flensburg-Handewitt

The Court of Handball has decided to impose a sanction of 7,500 € on the club SG Flensburg-Handewitt, part of which (i.e. €2.500) is imposed on a suspended period of two years.

The club failed to maintain curtains closed in order to cover non-authorised advertising during VELUX EHF Champions League matches despite several reminders.

The court finds that the club violated dispositions from Chapter VII of the 2017/18 VELUX EHF Champions League and must therefore be sanctioned, in particular in accordance with Article D.1 a) of the EHF List of Penalties.

An appeal may be filed within seven days.
