How handball makes children’s dreams come true

28 European handball clubs dreamt of making it to the VELUX EHF FINAL4. They showed team spirit, self-confidence, great will and fair play.

These values are equally important in projects run by Plan International, charity partner of the VELUX EHF Champions League. To support the organisation, the EHF Champions League has sponsored Lays, a girl from Brazil, this season. Many girls are in a similar situation as she finds herself in and do not have the same rights yet as boys have in many countries.

Worldwide, 130 million girls do not attend school. Plan International and the VELUX EHF Champions League have therefore taken action to improve the children’s opportunities and rights.

All handball fans have the possibility to do something good at the VELUX EHF FINAL4: Together with Plan International, exclusive tournament items will be auctioned online. The highlight will be the ball from the final match. Donations will go to Plan International’s ‘Girls Fund’.

The auction is now available online: https://www.unitedcharity.de/en/Specials/VELUX-EHF-FINAL4
