Israel aims for Olympic qualification by 2024

Just a few weeks after a cooperation visit by the EHF president to Israel,  the federation has announced further progress in its plan to achieve Olympic qualification in the next six years.

The programme under the title ‘Project 2024’ sees young and talented players spend up to eight months in Germany, developing their skills in the training hall of top Bundesliga club VfL Gummersbach.

Upon their return to Israel, the young players then have the option to combine handball training with their military service.

The federation is now taking the next step in the development of the project and has begun the search for a new manager to lead the programme.
