NEWS: Norway qualify for Women's 20 World Championship; Switzerland will play Norway in Men's World Championship 2019 Play-offs

Decisions on Women's 20 World Championship 2018 and Men's World Championship 2019 Play-offs

The Handball Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina has not filed a recourse to the EHF Court of Arbitration, meaning that the case between the Bosnian federation and the Swiss Handball Federation is closed.

The Men's World Championship 2019 qualifier between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Switzerland, which was played on 13 January, has been confirmed with a result of 10:0 and two points in favour of Switzerland.

During the match a Bosnian player had entered the court while not being listed on the official match report.

The result puts Switzerland at the top of qualification group 6 and therefore through to the Men's World Championship 2019 Play-offs in which they will face Norway on 9 and 12 June to play for a place at the final tournament in Germany and Denmark in January 2019.

Norway qualify for Women's 20 World Championship

Following the decision of the European Handball Federation not to play the remaining matches in Women's U20 World Championship Qualification Group 5 because of an intervention of Serbian authorities, the under-20 women's team of Norway has been named winners of this group.

The decision was made following mutual consent of the federations of Kosovo, Slovakia and Norway to nominate Norway as group winners.

Norway had won the only match that was played in this group 32:23.

Norway therefore qualify for the Women's 20 World Championship 2018 and complete the field of European participants at the 24-nation tournament.

The Women's 20 World Championship is played from 1 to 15 July in Hungary.
