First leg: 21:24; Agg. 47:47
TATRAN Presov are ready for the group phase, but they had to rely on the rule of away goals, as they booked the last ticket Saturday afternoon in Iceland.
Presov won the first leg at home against Hafnarfjordur 24:21, which meant that the 26:23 defeat in the return match sent them on to the group phase due to having scored more away goals.
Presov won an otherwise equal first half by two goals and did not seem to get any trouble reaching the group phase.
However, by way of 16:16 early in the second half, the home team came back, and towards the end, Hafnarfjordur got up with those crucial three goals.
They were not able to increase their lead further, though, so at the end, the Slovakian champions could celebrate their group phase berth.
Eight goals from left back Dominik Krok contributed a lot to the Presov triumph.
