Court of Handball opens a case for a Men’s EHF Cup game

The club St. Petersburg HC filed a protest following the Men’s EHF Cup 2017/18 Qualification Round 2 match (2nd leg): St. Petersburg HC (RUS) vs FH Hafnarfjordur (ISL) played on Sunday 15 October.

Both clubs and their national federations have now been informed by the Court of Handball that proceedings are pending and a decision will be taken in due time.

The protest of St. Petersburg HC points out that after both teams played exactly the same result (32:27) in both legs, the penalty shoot-out should have followed the regular time instead of extra time.
