Spain and Germany, the respective gold and silver medallists at the Men’s 20 EHF EURO 2016, have played the most successful campaign so far, with both teams winning all of their five preliminary round matches.

Germany, as the first ranked team in Group A, now face Sweden, the fourth ranked team from Group B. Spain play against Argentina.

Furthermore, the teams from France, Slovenia and Croatia have not lost a match yet.

France drew 22:22 with Slovenia and the teams are joint-top of Group B with nine points, with France in first only because of the better goal difference.

In the Last 16 on Wednesday, Croatia now face Russia, France play the Faroe Islands, Iceland meet Tunisia and Slovenia battle it out against Hungary.

In the two remaining Last 16 matches, hosts Algeria play against FYR Macedonia and Denmark are up against Norway. All throw-off times and venues can be found on the International Handball Federation’s competition website.
