PREVIEW: Nine ebt 2017 competitions throw off from Thursday to Saturday, including the ongoing PGNiG Summer Superliga and Spain’s Arena 1000 tour.
Summer Superliga reaches Warsaw, Arena 1000 in Cadiz
The European Beach Tour 2017 continues this weekend with nine events, starting on Thursday with the 1st Olympus Rivera Beach Handball Tournament in Greece and And’Praia 2017 – Porto Lazer in Portugal.
The Olympus Rivera competition begins on Thursday with a youth competition for boys and girls aged between 12 and 18, before the men’s and women’s tournaments start on Friday afternoon. All matches in the men’s and women’s competition will be streamed live.
Six more ebt competitions in six different countries start on Friday, including the APA Beach Tournament 2017 in Apatin, Ismaning Beach Cup in Munich, Amsterdam Beach Handball Tournament, Cadiz Arena 1000, the PGNiG Summer Superliga in Warsaw, and the XXI Cister Beach Handball 2017 – Paredes De Vitoria. 3a Etapa ActivoBank – CRAP Lisboa/Setubal throws off in Costa da Caparica on Saturday.
XXI Cister Beach Handball 2017 will feature 42 Portuguese teams, with 16 in the men’s senior category and nine in the women’s. 10 squads will compete in the Under 18 men’s competition and seven will participate in the U18 women’s.

The Arena 1000 continues in Spain after events in Malaga and Bueu, with the spotlight this weekend on the nation’s beach handball epicentre, Cadiz. 132 teams, including one of the best-known women’s sides, Hungarian Multichem-Szentendrei N.K.E., will take part in the competition, with senior, Under 21, Under 19 and Under 17 categories in both genders.
Cadiz Arena 1000 matches will be streamed live at the following links: Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning. Fans can also follow the event on the official website, Twitter and Facebook.
The Amsterdam Beach Handball Tournament will see six teams fighting for the men’s title and 10 on the sand in the women’s, with squads from the Netherlands, Algeria, Germany and Switzerland. The event can be followed on Facebook while matches will be streamed live here.
Another ongoing summer tournament, Poland’s PGNiG Summer Superliga, makes its way to a new location this weekend, with all-Polish teams competing in the capital Warsaw. Matches will be streamed live on the official Summer Superliga YouTube channel.
3a Etapa ActivoBank – CRAP Lisboa/Setubal will be contested between all-Portuguese sides, with 24 competing in four categories: senior, Under 18, Under 15 and Under 12 in both genders. Fans can follow Etapa ActivoBank on the official event website and Facebook, and watch matches on the official live stream.
