REVIEW: The first of Portugal’s tournaments on the ebt 2017 finished on Sunday, with EFE Os Tigres claiming the women’s trophy and Clube Naval de Lece raising the men’s.
 

Café de Praia kickstarts ebt in Portugal

The first of Portugal’s tournaments in the European Beach Tour 2017 season was held over the weekend with a total of 26 teams competing in the three-day competition.

Café de Praia – Torreira featured both men’s and women’s senior teams, as well as a competition for Under 18 sides in each gender. The women’s competition was won by Escola Formacao de Espinho Os Tigres, who beat Tiki Taka to claim the trophy, while Media 1881 Arsenal de Canelas placed third.

The men’s trophy was decided in a penalty shoot-out, where Os Gordos Labminho Clube Naval de Leca defeated EFE Os Tigres. Third place went to Tiki Taka.

In the U18 women’s category, Alavarium Love Tiles BH ranked first ahead of Arsenal de Canelas in second and CD Feirense in third. In the men’s U18 competition, Shark’s Aveitour were first, while CD Feirense placed second and Scorpions finished third.

On Friday three more ebt tournaments will begin in Portugal: the Garci Cup 2017, And’Praia 2017 – VNGaia, and the XIII Torneio Sir 1st Maio – BH 2017 – S Pedro De Moel. This coming weekend will also see ebt tournaments in Spain, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus and Serbia.
