Larvik HK (NOR) vs Györi Audi ETO KC (HUN) 25:26 (12:14)

With both Larvik and Györ securing their place in the quarter-final ahead of this match, the two teams could take it down a notch in the final game of the main round.

But there was a full-on attack from Györ in the first minutes of the game, scoring four goals in the first three minutes, to open up a 4:1 lead.

Slowly, as the game progressed, the attacking prowess of both teams faded. A 4:1 run from Larvik, inspired by Linn-Kristin Koren Riegelhuth, saw the Norwegian side take a 9:8 lead.

An Ambros Martin timeout woke up Györ, with a free-flowing attack and more options. Nora Mørk scored three times to put the Hungarian club two goals ahead at half-time.

No last-gasp comeback for Larvik

The second half had a similar start to the first, as Györ jumped to a 20:13 lead that looked impossible to beat.

It was again Nora Mørk who inspired Györ. But the Hungarian team had another dip that saw Larvik reduce the gap to only two goals. With 12 minutes gone in the second half the score was 20:18 to Györ.

Although Györ opened another gap, the end was on a knife's edge. Riegelhuth scored goal after goal for Larvik to have a chance. But the comeback ultimately failed, as the Hungarian group winners won 26:25.
