DAY REVIEW: DHC Sokol Poruba turned a five goal deficit from the first leg against Kram Start Elblag into an eight goal win on aggregate, after a big win at home which takes them through to the semi-final of the Women´s Challenge Cup
Five goal deficit no problem for Poruba
Losing the first match 29:24 away to Kram Start Elblag turned out to be no problem for DHC Sokol Poruba in the quarter-final of the Women´s Challenge Cup.
In the second leg match on home court in Ostrava, the Czech team had a big 27:14 win, thus they secured their place in the semi-final.
As early as the first half, Poruba managed to catch up with the deficit from the first leg. They took a six goal lead -14:8- with them to the half-time break.
After the break, the home team continued to increase their lead, allowing the visitors to score only six goals in the last 30 minutes.
In the semi-final, Sokol Poruba will be meeting the winner of the tie between Swedish H 65 Höörs HK and Spanish Mecalia Atletico Guardes.
