Beach Commission makes its plans for next four years

Following elections in November 2016, the new EHF Beach Handball Commission held its first meeting of the next four year cycle in the EHF Office in Vienna on 2/3 March 2017.

The Commission agreed their master plan and budget through to 2020 and also discussed in details their planning for the next two major beach events taking place over the coming months.

These include the ebt finals in Gaeta, Italy from 26 to 28 May 2017 and the Beach Handball EURO in Zagreb, Croatia from 20 to 25 June 2017 (preceded by the Beach Handball EURO for under 17 teams taking place from 16 to 18 June 2017).

It was confirmed that 14 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams will take part in the senior Beach EURO and 15 men’s and 12 women’s team in the YAC event. Complete line-ups and nominations are will be be published in due course.

The meeting also confirmed that a total of six referee pairs and eight delegates will attend the further education course to be held in parallel with the ebt Finals in May.
