The final two members of the new EHF Executive Committee have been nominated following meetings of the Professional Handball Board and Women’s Handball Board at the Women’s EHF EURO 2016
 

EHF Executive Committee now complete following meetings in Sweden

Following the elections at the Congress in St. Wolfgang, the final two places within the EHF Executive Committee have been decided.

The Professional Handball Board and Women’s Handball Board held their first meetings on the fringe of the Women’s EHF EURO in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Women's Handball Board

The Women’s Handball Board decided for a unique split nomination for the next four-year period.

Narcisa Lecusanu (ROU) will serve for the first two years and Nodjialem Myaro (FRA) for the second two-year period.

Members of the WHB also include Leonor Mallozzi (POR), Deja Ivanovic (SLO), Ludmilla Bodnieva (RUS) as well as Pirje Orasson (EST), who was elected vice chair. 

Alenka Cuderman from the EHF office and Gabriella Horvath (HUN) from the EHF Executive Committee were represented at the meeting.

Professional Handball Board

FC Barcelona Manager and President of Forum Club Handball, Xavier O’Callaghan (ESP), was elected chairman of the Professional Handball Board and Frank Bohmann (GER) was elected vice chairman.

The Professional Handball Board is made up of stakeholders representing the nations, clubs, leagues and players as well as representatives of the EHF. 

In attendance were Morten Stig Christensen DEN/Nations Board); Philippe Bana (FRA/Nations Board); Xavier O’Callaghan (Forum Club Handball); Gerd Butzeck (Forum Club Handball); Peter Gentzel Member (European Professional Handball Leagues Association) as well as Marcus Rominger and Michael Sahl Hansen (both European Handball Players Union).

The EHF Vice President, Predrag Bošković, and EHF Executive Member, Stefan Lövgren, were in attendance as was the EHF President Michael Wiederer and Markus Glaser, EHF Chief Sports Officer.
