Last Germany 2017 play-off tickets to be decided
Qualification for the Women’s World Championship 2017 continues on the weekend with Groups 2 and 3 taking to the court to decide the last remaining places in the play-off phase.
From the play-off phase nine teams will progress to the final tournament in Germany, along with three teams determined by ranking at the EHF EURO 2016. Germany are already secure with their spot at the World Championship as hosts, while Norway are directly qualified as champions at the 2015 edition.
The two top-ranked teams in Groups 2 and 3 will join Ukraine, Slovakia and Italy, who qualified for the Germany 2017 Play-offs in the first round of qualification matches at the end of November.
In Group 2, Belarus, Turkey, Switzerland and Kosovo will contest the two available places with all matches taking place in Minsk.
Austria, Iceland, FYR Macedonia and Faroe Islands are ready to play from Group 3 in Faroe Islands.
The play-off phase will take place in June 2017.
