EHF EURO ambassadors go Women's EHF Champions League

Only four days after the international ambassadors for the Women's EHF EURO 2016 were announced, three of them start their promotion campaigns this weekend, visiting matches in the Women's EHF Champions League in Denmark, Sweden and France.

In their bags they will not only have plenty of promotion material, but also a couple of tickets to the event for spectators to win.

First to make an appearance are former French goalkeeper Valérie Nicolas, who visits the EHF Champions League match Metz Handball vs Thüringer HC, and Germany's record international Grit Jurack, who will be at FC Midtjylland vs defending champions CSM Bucuresti.

"I will try my best to convince to the French fans to come to Sweden to support their team and watch some great games," said Nicolas. "We have to promote this championship because it's really important for women's handball."

The third ambassador, Karen Brødsgaard, a double Olympic gold medallist with Denmark and currently the assistant coach at Swedish club Alingsas HK, will be at the match between IK Sävehof and Team Esbjerg on Sunday.

"Malmö (the city in which Denmark will play in Group C) is so close to Denmark, so all Danish fans should come and watch the games. I'd love to see the entire arena in red and white," she said.

Former Norwegian ambassador Hanne Hegh and former Romanian international Narcisa Lecusanu complete the group of international ambassadors.

All five will visit matches of the Women's EHF Champions League over the next rounds until the start of the EHF EURO. To keep up to date with their travels make sure you follow the @EHFEURO Twitter account.
