Court of Handball imposes suspensions on two Budvanska Rivijera players

The EHF Court of Handball has rendered two decisions in disciplinary cases against two players from HC Budvanska Rivijera, Slobodan Bulajic and Slavisa Lacmanovic following their behaviours during the 2016/17 Men’s EHF Cup Qualification Round 1 (2nd leg) match between HC Budvanska Rivijera (MNE) and A.C.C. Filippos Verias (GRE).

At the 54”02 minute of the match, Slobodan Bulajic repeatedly pushed an opponent off the court because the latter took, in his opinion, too long to leave the court after he had received a two-minute suspension for the third time.

A brawl, involving players and officials of both teams broke out, during which Slavisa Lacmanovic punched the same opponent in the face.

The Court of Handball has decided to impose a two-match suspension on Slobodan Bulajic, finding his behaviour seriously unsportsmanlike.

As regards Slavisa Lacmanovic, he is suspended for three matches and shall pay a €300 fine, the Court having found that his gesture constitutes an act of violence.

Appeals may be filed with the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
