1 DAY WITH…: Spend a day with the 2014 VELUX EHF Champions League winners as the new summer series will start on EHF’s social media channels.
New series on social media channels starting in Flensburg
As we approach the end of the Olympic tournament the focus of all handball enthusiasts is slowly but steady shifting back to the planet’s premium club competition – the VELUX EHF Champions League.
The squads of all 28 sides are gradually shaping up as teams are filling the gaps after departing players, integrating new signings and welcoming back their Olympians from Rio 2016.
Some of them are still in the gym, while others have already switched to the court drills as there is just a bit more than a month left to the opening throw-off of the new season.
For the first time the EHF will provide the fans with a detailed look at preparations in several clubs on its social media channels.
Already on Friday 19 August (from 3 pm local time) the first stop of new series “1 day with … (a club)” will see our mobile reporter Rikke Fisker Knudsen taking part at the official season opening at SG Flensburg-Handewitt, the 2014 VELUX EHF Champions League winners.
Follow and interact with our coverage on ehf_live accounts on Snapchat and Twitter, ehfcl on Instagram and EHF Champions League Facebook as Rasmus Lauge Schmidt will guide you through his current home city and the arena the locals call "the Hell of North".
Witness the autograph session in the arena and check new faces taking the floor in the evening friendly match with the arch rivals from THW Kiel.
The whole event will be concluded with a public viewing of the Olympic semi-final match France vs Germany and a music concert.
