NEWS REPORT: Two groups of the Qualification Europe en route to the Women's World Championship 2017 will be played in a tournament format, with Belarus hosting Group 2 and Italy hosting Group 4
 

Hosting rights drawn for Qualification Europe

Belarus will host a qualification tournament in Group 2 and Italy will host a tournament in Group 4 of the Qualification Europe en route to the Women's World Championship 2017 in Germany.

The draw to determine these qualification tournament hosting rights took place in the EHF Office on Thursday.

This means that all four groups in the Qualification Europe will be played in a tournament format and not with home and away matches.

It had already been decided among the respective participating nations that Slovakia host the tournament in Group 1 and the Faroe Islands host the tournament in Group 3.

In Group 2 the second right to organise went to Switzerland. In Group 4 the second right to organise went Israel, the third right went to Portugal.

The tournaments in Group 1 and 4 and will take place from 25 to 27 November, the tournaments in Groups 2 and 3 will take place from 2 to 4 December 2016.

The first two teams from Groups 1 to 3 and the top ranked team from Group 4 qualify for the play-offs which will be played in June next year.
