EHF calls for participants for Champions Cup 2016

While the beach handball season is in full swing, the season's closing highlight is already looming at the distant horizon.

From 3 to 6 November 2016 the third edition of the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup will take place on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, and the European Handball Federation asks its member federations to bookmark these dates for their national beach handball champions.

12 men's and 12 women's teams are eligible to participate in the tournament including the defending champions from the Champions Cup 2015.

The first right to participate goes to the respective winners of the national beach handball championships. In case the winners cannot take part, the 2nd or the 3rd ranked teams can be registered.

Teams have to be nominated by their national federation. The registration period starts on 29 August 2016 at midnight and ends on 4 September at midnight. More detailed information is available in the registration info.

Places will be awarded on a "first come, first served" principle.

Coaches and delegate courses

Prior and during the event the 10th Beach Handball Delegates Course and the 8th Beach Handball Coaches Course will take place on Gran Canaria.

The EHF asks its member federations to nominate suitable candidates and submit their names to the EHF. The possibility to register ends on 29 September 2016.
