Preparations for the new season 2016/17 are progressing with the confirmation of the federation’s new official equipment suppliers by the EHF Executive Committee at its meeting in Vienna, Austria on 24 June 2016.

The leading ball suppler, SELECT, has already been announced as the official ball supplier, having signed a four-year deal with the EHF and EHF Marketing GmbH to provide the federation’s official match ball from 1 July 2016.

The four-year deal will see the Danish company providing the official match ball for all EHF competitions including the VELUX EHF Champions League, Women's EHF Champions League, Men’s and Women’s EHF Cup as well as the EHF’s flagship national team competition, the EHF European Championships.

A new and exclusive ball design will be presented for each competition on an annual basis for the duration of the contract. SELECT will offer the official match ball and replica versions for sale via leading sports retailers worldwide.

The new official ball for the Women's EHF EURO 2016 in Sweden was launched at the Final Tournament draw in Gothenburg on 10 June 2016.

The launch of the new SELECT match ball for the VELUX EHF Champions League and the Women’s EHF Champions League will take place at the Group Phase draw in Copenhagen on 1 July 2016.
