World Championship 2017 Preliminary Round drawn in Paris

The draw for the preliminary round at the World Championship 2017 in France has taken place in Paris on Thursday.

The draw sees defending champions France playing Poland, Russia, Brazil, Japan and Norway in Group A.

EHF EURO 2016 winners Germany face Croatia, Belarus, Hungary, Chile and Norway in Group C.

In Group B Spain meet Slovenia, FYR Macedonia, Iceland, Tunisia and Angola, while in Group D Qatar play against Denmark, Sweden, Egypt, Bahrain and Argentina.

The first four teams of each group qualify for the Last 16.
