Poreč hosts 2016 European Masters
When it comes to the sheer number of teams participating, the European Masters Handball Championships for men and women are among the largest events the EHF organises and the 2016 edition is no exception to this.
61 teams across five different age categories take part in the tournament which takes place from 10 to 12 June in the Croatian city of Poreč - also one of the host cities of the Men's EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia.
There are 10 teams in the women's +33 category, 11 teams in the women's +43 category, 16 teams in the men's +35 category, 12 teams in the men's +45 category and another 12 teams in the men's +50 category participating.
Teams stem from Hungary, Spain, Ukraine, Norway, Croatia, Denmark, Italy, Czech Republic, Portugal, Serbia, Latvia, Slovakia, Austria, Russia, Slovenia, Belarus, Estonia and Poland.
