Referees confirmed, Raluy and Sabroso to lead final

Two weeks before the biggest event in European club handball, the EHF has now confirmed the officials for all four VELUX EHF FINAL4 matches on the 28/29 May 2016 in the LANXESS arena in Cologne.

The first semi-final, which will be played on Saturday at 15:15 hrs, between KS Vive Tauron Kielce and Paris Saint-Germain Handball will be refereed by the German delegation Lars Geipel and Marcus Helbig. The Polish champions try to reach the final for the third time while PSG are the newcomer at the VELUX EHF FINAL4.

The throw-off of the second semi-final THW Kiel versus MVM Veszprém will be at 18:00 hrs and this match will be led by Oyvind Togstad and Rune Kristiansen from Norway.

It is the encounter of the Hungarian champions with three former Kiel players in their ranks against the team that surprisingly beat title holders FC Barcelona Lassa in the quarter-finals.

On Sunday, the scheduled time for both games’ starting whistle will remain the same. The third place match will be refereed by the Icelandic officials Jonas Eliasson and Anton Palsson.

Oscar Raluy Lopez and Angel Sabroso Ramirez from Spain, who were also part of the EHF EURO 2016, will have the honour of leading the VELUX EHF Champions League Final 2016, of which all four participating teams dream of playing in. You can find more information about the teams here.
