Confirmation that Oceania will not enter a team in the World Championship in Russia means additional place for team from Europe
Additional place for Europe at Women’s U20 World Championship
The International Handball Federation has confirmed the non-participation of a nation from Oceania in the upcoming Women’s U20 World Championship, scheduled to be played in Russia 3-15 July 2016.
The substitute nation will come from Europe and specifically from the second-ranked team in Group 3 of the event’s qualification tournaments taking place 18-20 March 2016.
Teams playing in this group are Hungary, Belarus, Austria and Iceland.
