Emerging nations play IHF/EHF Trophy in Georgia

Europe’s emerging handball nations have once again been given the opportunity to compete with their national teams in international competition with the organisation of the IHF/EHF Women’s Trophy.

The competition – formerly the Challenge Trophy – will be played in Tbilisi, Georgia from 8 to 13 March 2016.

Taking part will be eight women's national teams from Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Georgia and Latvia.

The draw has been made and teams will play initally in two groups of four teams:

Cyprus
Faroe Islands
Latvia
Belgium
Georgia
Estonia
Albania
Armenia

Young Referees Programme

The tournament will be officiated by five pairs of referees from the EHF Young Referee Programme:

Coaching Clinic

To assist the further development of coaches from the nations taking the part, the EHF is also supporting the organisation of a coaching clinic during the event for team coaches and coaches from the host nation. The course will be led by Alexandru Acsinte (ROU).
