Four teams fight for Europe's wheelchair handball crown

On 12 and 13 December four nation teams will gather in St. Pölten, Austria for the 2015 European Wheelchair Handball Nations' Tournament.

National team selections from the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Sweden will take part in the tournament, which will be played in a 'round-robin' system.

Since the introduction of this event in 2008 - as Austria were crowned champions at the first European Wheelchair Championship - the interest in wheelchair handball has been on the rise.

"Even though inviting players with special needs to play our sport, the EHF has endeavoured to keep Wheelchair Handball as pure and original as possible," says EHF President Jean Brihault.

"We hope this event will not only be another milestone in wheelchair handball, but also motivate more member federations to integrate this branch of sport to their repertoire."

Entrance to the event will be free of charge. For more information visit http://www.eurohandball.com/ehf/wheelchair
