EHF EURO teams test their fitness

The current national team week in the handball calendar proves an excellent opportunity for all teams participating at the Men's EHF EURO 2016 to test players and fitness alike, and all 16 participants make use of it over the coming days.

One of the highest densities of EHF EURO teams can be found at the Golden League which is played in Haslum, Norway with EHF EURO 2014 champions France, 2012 winners Denmark, Iceland and Norway participating. The playing dates are 5, 7 and 8 November.

Another EHF EURO quartet is present in Gdansk on 7 and 8 November, when Spain face Sweden and Poland play Russia on the first day before the two eventual winners play the final on 8 November.

The event at the same time serves as a test for the ERGO Arena which will be the venue of choice for Group D in the preliminary round come the EHF EURO 2016 in January.

Already on Thursday Sweden and Russia play a friendly against each other in Halmstad, Sweden.

Three EHF EURO participants take to the court in Germany where the hosts face Serbia, Slovenia - also Germany's opponents in Group C at the EHF EURO - as well as Brazil in the Supercup. The playing dates are 6 to 8 November.

Three teams also come to Umag, Croatia where Croatia, Montenegro and FYR Macedonia compete for the HEP Cup from 6 to 8 November.

The last two teams missing from the EHF EURO 2016 line-up are Belarus and Hungary, and they can be found at the Provident Cup (6 to 8 November) in Debrecen for which the said two as well as Argentina and a Hungarian national B-team will be competing.
