Federation did not ensure the presence of a key player at the Men's EHF EURO 2016 final tournament draw
Croatian Handball Federation fined
The EHF Court of Handball has issued a decision following proceedings initiated against the Croatian Handball Federation due to the absence of a key player during the Men's EHF EURO 2016 final tournament draw hosted in Krakow on 19 June 2015.
The Court finds in substance that the Croatian Federation did not comply with article 32.3 of the EHF EURO Regulations by not ensuring the presence of a key player and displayed in addition a negligent attitude by informing the EHF of the absence only a few hours before the draw.
Hence, a €5.000 (five thousand euro) fine is imposed on the national federation.
The decision may be appealed with the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
