New addition to EHF EURO 2016 sponsor line-up

The European Handball Federation's media and marketing partner for the EHF EURO events, Infront Sports and Media, has secured an official sponsorship agreement with Grundfos – one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers.

It covers both the Men’s and Women’s EHF EUROs 2016, taking place 15-31 January in Poland and 4–18 December in Sweden respectively.

Grundfos will be one of a maximum of eight official sponsors for the event – alongside AJ (mail order office furniture, materials handling and storage solutions), Intersport (sporting goods retailer), BAUHAUS (workshop, house and garden specialist) and the VELUX Group (roof windows – only Men’s EHF EURO 2016), which are already confirmed.

High profile brand positioning

The rights package for Grundfos includes strong brand positioning in camera view around the court, through advertising spots at both events on LED boards, floor stickers and static boards behind the goal.

Furthermore, Grundfos is presenting the official EHF App as well as taking advantage of full activation rights and a major ticketing contingent at the events.

Grundfos will be inviting more than 1,000 guests to the championship in Poland, which will contribute to a great on-site atmosphere.

On-going investments boost EHF EURO platform

The continuous investments in advertising technologies and a fundamental digital strategy have led to a steadily increasing viewership. In 2014, for example, the Women’s EHF EUROs achieved its highest reach ever with a cumulative audience of 723 million following 1,919 broadcast hours.

Together with the Men’s EHF EURO 2014, this was the strongest year to date in terms of exposure for national team handball in Europe, totalling 4,252 broadcast hours.
