In Group A Sweden, silver medallists at the Men's 20 EHF EURO 2014, won all their five matches to finish first. They now meet Portugal, the fourth ranked team from Group B, in what is one of three all-European encounters in the Last 16.

The other two all-European matches see Spain, the first ranked team from Group B, play against Russia, the fourth ranked team from Group A, and France (1C) playing against Norway (4D).

Also in the Last 16 are Belarus as the second ranked team from Group A, who play against Qatar. Romania (2B) meet Tunisia; current youth world champions Denmark (2C) play against hosts Brazil and current Men's 20 EHF EURO 2014 champions Germany face Argentina.

All Last 16 matches will be played between 13:30 and 20:30 hrs on Tuesday, 28 July. A live stream is available via the official website.

Netherlands and Serbia are the two European teams who did not reach the Last 16; they play in the President's Cup also on 28 July.
