Glassverket to host Women's EHF Champions League Qualification Tournament

Hungarian powerhouse and 2013/14 winners Györi Audi ETO KC will have to travel to Norway in their quest to enter the Women's EHF Champions League Group Matches in the 2015/16 season.

On Thursday, the European Handball Federation confirmed Norwegian side Glassverket as the local organiser for the qualification tournament that features Dutch side SERCODAK Dalfsen and Serbian club WHC Radnicki Kragujevac besides Györ and Glassverket.

In the semi-finals on 12 September Györ play against Kragujevac and Glassverket face Dalfsen. The final and the match for third place are played on 13 September, and only the first ranked team qualifies for the Women's EHF Champions League Group Matches.

The matches are planned to take place in the "Drammenshallen" in Drammen. The exact playing times will be announced in due time.

The second and third ranked team at the tournament enter the Cup Winners' Cup in Round 3, the fourth ranked team starts already in Round 2. 

The second qualification tournament for the Women's Champions League, featuring Team Esbjerg, HCM Baia Mare, BNTU-BelAZ Minsk Reg. and Ankara Yenimahalle BSK, takes place in Baia Mare, Romania on the same weekend.
